Princess Kate and Prince William have expressed to King Charles how crucial they believe it is to spend time with him as he continues his battle with cancer, according to a royal commentator.

Earlier this year, King Charles received a cancer diagnosis, which he shares with the Princess of Wales. Royal commentator Jennie Bond commended Kate and William for their recent visit to King Charles in Scotland., reported GB News.

She noted that Charles and Kate will share a unique connection, having both undergone cancer treatment in 2024.

She said regarding the couple’s trip to Balmoral this month: “Their visit underlines how important they feel it is to spend time with Charles.

“It’s been a few weeks since they’ve been together and I’m sure William in particular feels he wants to stay in close touch with his papa particularly as the King continues his cancer treatment.”

Bond continued: “Catherine and Charles share a truly special bond, undoubtedly strengthened by their shared experience with cancer.

“So, it’s not so much Scotland’s enchanting allure that drew them this time, but rather her and William’s desire to spend quality time with the King.”

A potential reunion between Prince Harry and King Charles next week remains uncertain. In February, the father and son had a 45-minute meeting at Clarence House after Harry returned to the UK upon learning of the King’s cancer diagnosis.

However, despite making two subsequent trips to the UK, Harry has not met with King Charles during either visit.
